நகர்ப்புறக் கால்வாய் வலைப்பின்னல்களைப் பராமரித்தல் மற்றும் வெள்ளக் கட்டுப்பாட்டு நடவடிக்கைகளை வலுப்படுத்துவதற்காக, இலங்கை காணி அபிவிருத்திக் கூட்டுத்தாபனத்திற்குச் (SLLDC) சிறிய ரக இயந்திரங்களைக் கொள்வனவு செய்வதற்கு அமைச்சரவை உத்தியோகபூர்வ அங்கீகாரம் வழங்கியுள்ளது.

இக்கொள்முதலுக்கான மதிப்பீட்டுச் செலவு சுமார் 1,233 மில்லியன் ரூபாவாகும். இத்திட்டத்திற்காகப் பொதுத் திறைசேரியினால் 625 மில்லியன் ரூபா பங்களிப்புத் தொகையாக (Equity Contribution) வழங்கப்படவுள்ளதுடன், மீதி நிதி இலங்கை காணி அபிவிருத்திக் கூட்டுத்தாபனத்தின் சொந்த நிதியிலிருந்து ஈடுசெய்யப்படவுள்ளது.

போக்குவரத்து, நெடுஞ்சாலைகள் மற்றும் நகர அபிவிருத்தி அமைச்சரினால் சமர்ப்பிக்கப்பட்ட இந்த யோசனைக்கு அமைச்சரவை அங்கீகாரம் அளித்துள்ளது. தீவிர வெள்ளப் பெருக்கு மற்றும் மழைக் காலங்களில் காணி அபிவிருத்திக் கூட்டுத்தாபனத்தின் களச் செயற்பாட்டுத் திறனை உயர்த்தி, வெள்ள அனர்த்தப் பாதிப்புகளைக் குறைப்பதற்கு இந்த நவீன சிறிய ரக இயந்திரங்கள் பேருதவியாக அமையும் எனத் தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

නාගරික ඇළ මාර්ග පද්ධතිය නිසි ලෙස නඩත්තු කිරීම සහ ගංවතුර පාලන කටයුතු තවදුරටත් ශක්තිමත් කිරීම වෙනුවෙන්, ශ්‍රී ලංකා ඉඩම් සංවර්ධනය කිරීමේ සංස්ථාව (SLLDC) සඳහා කුඩා පරිමාණ යන්ත්‍රෝපකරණ මිලදී ගැනීමට අමාත්‍ය මණ්ඩල අනුමැතිය හිමිව තිබේ.

මෙම ප්‍රසම්පාදනය සඳහා ඇස්තමේන්තුගත මුළු පිරිවැය රුපියල් මිලියන 1,233 කි. මෙම ව්‍යාපෘතිය සඳහා මහා භාණ්ඩාගාරය මඟින් රුපියල් මිලියන 625 ක කොටස් දායකත්වයක් (Equity Contribution) ලබාදීමට නියමිත අතර, ඉතිරි මුදල ඉඩම් සංවර්ධනය කිරීමේ සංස්ථාවේ අරමුදල් මඟින් පියවා ගැනීමට සැලසුම් කර ඇත.

ප්‍රවාහන, මහාමාර්ග සහ නාගරික සංවර්ධන අමාත්‍යවරයා විසින් ඉදිරිපත් කරන ලද යෝජනාවට මෙලෙස කැබිනට් අනුමැතිය ලැබී ඇති අතර, දැඩි වර්ෂාපතන සහ ගංවතුර තත්ත්වයන් හමුවේ සංස්ථාවේ මෙහෙයුම් ධාරිතාව ඉහළ නැංවීමටත්, ගංවතුර අවදානම අවම කර ගැනීමටත් මෙම යන්ත්‍රෝපකරණ මිලදී ගැනීම මහත් පිටුවහලක් වනු ඇත.

The Cabinet of Ministers has granted formal approval for the procurement of small-scale machinery for the Sri Lanka Land Development Corporation (SLLDC) to significantly enhance urban canal maintenance and strengthen flood mitigation operations.

The procurement carries an estimated financial allocation of 1,233 million Sri Lankan Rupees. The acquisition will be financed through a 625 million Sri Lankan Rupees equity injection provided directly by the General Treasury, with the remaining capital funded through the internal revenue reserves of the SLLDC.

The joint financing proposal was submitted by the Minister of Transport, Highways, and Urban Development. The procurement of these agile, specialized machines is expected to bolster the corporation’s operational readiness, facilitating rapid response and effective de-silting and drainage clearances during severe monsoon downpours and metropolitan flash flooding.
