Saudi Arabia’s King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has directed competent authorities in the Kingdom to begin regularizing the residency and legal status of Yemeni nationals residing illegally within Saudi borders.

The royal directive comes within the framework of addressing ongoing humanitarian challenges confronting the people of Yemen and extending support under exceptional relief mechanisms. Under this initiative, the Saudi Ministry of Interior, the General Directorate of Passports (Jawazat), and allied regulatory entities are tasked with granting appropriate residency validations, temporary status rectifications, and formal work permits to eligible Yemeni expatriates. This humanitarian gesture is poised to benefit tens of thousands of undocumented Yemeni nationals currently living across the Kingdom.
